It is an investment and it is something which is 100% yours, meaning should you ever wish to transfer your website to your own hosting or even another developer, this is no problem at all.
Costs of Building a new Website
for a 1 to 10 page website, typical charges range from £250 up to £800. Pages can be added to your website at any time in the future, there is no back to square one. Your website grows as and when you need it. By a typical website, we mean a website with the options of slideshows, engaging images and content sliders or tabs, simple contact forms, google map integration, social network linking or integration and more. Most websites include a home page, a contact page, an "about" page and further pages about your products, services or your work, events or a blog.
Further content rich website enhancements are quoted upon request, which may include but is not limited to: Content rich Event display and organization, Booking or reservation facility, Enhanced blogging Site, Online shop, Enhanced gallery capabilities, social networking site, magazine news type website capabilities, forums, customized advanced contact forms... the list goes on!
Hosting and Maintenance
Maintenance is essential to keep your website up-to-date with the latest security practices and latest features. Any software that is left without maintenance does not take long to become out-dated. Our hosting is fully optimized for Joomla. You can host your website with us, or with our prefered hosting provider for Joomla, Siteground. Our maintenance charge which is a monthly charge paid quarterly and includes hosting if you host with us ranges from £10 to £15 per month for a typical 1-10 page website. Included in our maintenance charges are twice monthly off-site backups (or more if required for regularly changing websites), regular updates and security fixes and optimization extensions to enhance the security, speed and SEO of your website which would typically cost you in excess of £30 per month.
The Website Development Process
Once we understand your needs, we provide a quote for the website build. 50% of the Website build price is due for the project to be started, and the remainder will be due within 7 days of the website going live, or if you choose to host the website on your own hosting the payment is due before we transfer your finalized website to your hosting. Payment is accepted by Paypal, major Credit or Debit Cards, and for clients in the UK we accept payments by bank transfer. Please note that 50% deposit payments are not refundable.
We ask you to provide the content for your website (images/photos and text) to ensure your website speaks for you or your business. Provided we have this within a good time-scale, a typical website can be built within 2-4 working days, however, changes involving website domain (address) and moving hosting can add up to 3 days to the time-scale. We generally recommend you allow at least 10 days. Contact us concerning rush projects. Payments must also be prompt for rush projects to avoid delays.
We prefer email correspondence because by replying to clear subject emails we can cover the essentials for your website. This beats a support ticket system which would normally require you to log onto a seperate system, or which would result in communication by email anyway, and emails can involve lots of attachments such as images and photos, or could contain website links to clearly explain what the goals or requests are. You can also contact us by phone during our office hours or provide us with a number and best time to contact you on. See the contact page for full contact details.
